On Sunday, May 20, 2012, Washington College-a private, independent college of liberal arts and sciences located in historic Chestertown on Maryland's Eastern Shore-held its 229th commencement ceremonies.

The following student was recognized for academic achievements and received a diploma as a member of the Class of 2012:

Patrick Cannon of Sutter Creek, CA, son of Mr. & Mrs. Thomas J. Cannon, BA, Philosophy , summa cum laude , departmental honors , recipient of the Department of Philosophy and Religion Award.
